Do your eyelids get heavy with age and rarely look fresh and relaxed? Even skin folds are beginning to hinder you? You are not alone! Swelling and sagging eyelids face a large part of the population sooner or later, including women and men. It is relatively easy to look better. We will help you with this issue in Mediestetik!
Blepharoplasty is plastic surgery of upper, lower, or both eyelids. The upper eyelids are strained more often, resulting in larger skin overhangs; its removal lightens the eye area and brightens the sight. The lower eyelids do not have much of the excess skin, but rather the fat prolapses associated with swelling and under-eye circles. They cease to form after lower eyelid surgery.
Difficulties of this type - whether of aesthetic or medical origin - are most likely to occur between the 40th-50th year, for men even before. Younger women around the age of 30 seek this procedure mostly because of genetic predispositions that cause swelling and under-eye circles.
The operation takes 40 - 60 minutes (depending on the extent) under local or general anaesthesia (for a fee). If the patient is generally healthy, he/she leaves the clinic 6 hours after the procedure. In-home care requires careful icing and compresses for the first 24 hours after surgery. Following post-operative care also corresponds with the length of subsequent recovery. In the post-operative bed rest, swelling is absorbed after 5-7 days of post-surgery. We remove stitches 5th -7th day and a return to active life is possible after a week, with a light load and wearing dark glasses.
Your eyes will brighten up. Eyelids will rise. The look will lighten, and very common under eye bags and under-eye circles will disappear. The procedure will give you an overall brighter look.
Definitely not! On the upper eyelids, the surgeon places the incision in the fold of the eyelid. On the lower eyelids, is incision just below the lower eyelashes.
