Preservation dentistry has reached a new level of excellence at the turn of the century with the widespread use of the dental operating microscope. The device was introduced to the market in 1982 but it wasn’t until 1997 that it spread across the dentistry clinics across the world. And it made a great difference. With the possibilities it presented the dentists with, it really brought the whole field into the new millennia.
Formerly, the dentist had to only rely on his eyes and his touch in order to examine even complicated problems of teeth and the gums. With the introduction of operational microscope an additional insight was provided for them and for example, the success rate of endodontic treatments – for which the microscope is primarily used – has increased up to 97 %.
The Mediestetik clinic uses top-class dental operating microscope of a prestigious Carl Zeiss brand, which enables to magnify up to 30 times.
