Is the shape of your nose unappealing to you? Is it a bit crooked since you were a child, was it…
Skin problems of a vascular kind may seem to be just an aesthetic problem at first but in some cases they can also foreshadow possible future complications, for example spider webs of visible red vessels usually appearing on your thighs or calves are called vascular lesions and they can foreshadow varicose veins. So do not take them lightly and should you decide to get rid of them, choose vascular laser.
Vascular laser by a well renowned American company is the most efficient solution for skin problems of vascular origin. Laser beam causes fast withdrawal of the visible vessels. Those ugly red spider webs will then slowly fade and you’ll be left with porcelain looking complexion.
This laser can treat various very common skin problems of a vascular kind such as rosacea, couperose, scattered skin reddening, excessive blushing etc. There have been amazing results in treating acne with the very same laser too.
This laser is mostly used for the treatment of thighs, calves and insteps, however it can be used for basically every facial or body area, too.
The treatment is ambulatory and takes up to 30 minutes. There are no limitations or recovery time needed afterwards, it is only recommended not to expose the treated area to the sun for approximately three weeks. That does not mean you can’t go outside in the sun, it is simply not recommended to tan. It is also recommended to protect your skin with the sun screen with SPF 50.
Rosacea is a long term skin condition characterized by facial redness, small and superficial dilated blood vessels on facial skin, papules, pustules, and swelling. Rosacea typically begins as redness on the central face across the cheeks, nose, or forehead, but can also less commonly affect the neck, chest, ears, and scalp. Vascular laser is especially efficient in treating this condition as the classical treatment (i.e. creams and ointments) tends to have unsure results.
Couperose is a condition where the skin appears red due to the presence of small, dilated red blood vessels visible on the face. It is mostly caused by the extreme temperature impact of the skin (such as during extensive tanning, visiting sauna or being exposed to frost). It can also be influenced by genetic predispositions and excessive alcohol consumption.
A hemangioma is a benign and usually self-involuting tumour characterised by increased number of normal or abnormal vessels filled with blood. It usually appears in the first weeks of life and grows most rapidly over the first six months. Hemangiomas are one of the very frequent skin problems of vascular origin and tend to grow and spread through the years if not removed.
A port-wine stain (also commonly called a firemark) is almost always a birthmark. It is caused by a vascular anomaly (a capillary malformation in the skin) and ordinarily persists throughout life. Port-wine stains occur most often on the face but can appear anywhere on the body, particularly on the neck and upper trunk. Early stains are usually flat and pink in appearance. As the child matures, the color may deepen to a dark red or purplish color.
Varicose veins are not an aesthetical problem and therefore cannot be treated by an aesthetic dermatologist. It is a serious vascular condition and it needs to be treated by a specialist of an according medical field.
